October in the Wildwoods and Cape May County

Well, the season may be over, but the good times keep rolling along in the Wildwoods.  October is a great month filled with activities that are sure to delight.  Don't miss out on the fun:

  • Cape May Wine Festival - this weekend (October 8-9), the New Jersey State Winegrower's Association is hosting the Cape May Wine Festival.  Sample wines from throughout the Garden State and kick back and relax to live bands.  It is a great way to celebrate Fall.  Check out the link to all the information, including the opportunity to buy tickets in advance.
  • Seafood Festival - This weekend in the Wildwoods (October 8).  The Seafood Festival features great food, music, and vendors.  Nothing like welcoming Fall with a hot cup of Clam Chowder.
  • Fabulous 50s Weekend - On October 14-15, join us for the Fabulous 50s Weekend.  Dance with Little Anthony and The Imperials, Diamond Dave Somerville, Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners, The Capris, and The Elegants and relive one of the most loved music decades.  A weekend of events, including a sock hop of Friday night with Jerry Blavat, a street fair, and the 50s concert.  This concert is a big draw as it sells out.  Don't miss your chance to relive the memories of your youth.
  • New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge - October 15-16, travel the coast and visit all the lighthouses, including our own - the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse.  The New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge is a great Fall event that is so much fun for all the lighthouse enthusiasts.
  • Woodrow Wilson Weekend - October 21-23, all history buffs may want to join the Friends of the J. Thompson Baker House.  Events will include tours, lectures, and food.
  • Morey's Fears Terror on the Boardwalk - Three weekends from October 14-October 29, experience a nightmare on Mariner's Landing Pier.  Not for the faint of heart, this heart-stopping experience will make this a Halloween season to remember.
