Halloween at the New Jersey Shore: A Treat for All

When I moved to the New Jersey Shore in 1999, I was amazed to see just what an event Halloween is each year.  Trick or treating is very well organized and there are many events for all ages.  Houses are decorated and themed parties are scheduled throughout.

For a fun time, we recommend considering a visit to Screaming Run.  The normally peaceful and beautiful Leamings Run Gardens, turns into a frightfest for Halloween.  For those who prefer a more tame walk that is fun for all ages, turn one way; for those who wish to have heart-stopping fun, turn the other.

Another great option is to go down to Cape May, which is one of the most haunted cities around.  Take a Ghosts of Cape May Trolley Tour during the day or the Ghosts of the Lighthouse Tour at night while listening to ghost stories, visit the Physick Estate and see the seance room and walk through scarecrow alley, participate in a psychic tea, or take a self-guided tour of the Phantoms of Cape May.

So, come on down this weekend and get into the Halloween festivities.  Let the Candlelight Inn Bed and Breakfast be your "home" from which to explore everything frightful that the Southern Jersey Shore has to offer.
